We are nearly there!

The mastered CD of ‘The Man Left In Space’ was finally sent away for manufacturing last week. I thought I was going to breath a sigh of relief and wonder what to do with myself for the next 18months but no such luck. The collywobbles have started already. What happens if the artwork doesn’t come out the right colour?, what happens if I’ve missed a glaring typo or forgotten to credit someone?. Then the nightmarish thought that all the CDs could come back with someone elses music on them. A CD entitled ‘The Man Left In Space’ full of Bavarian folk songs, perhaps? The biggest worry is the album will go down like the proverbial lead balloon, if it goes down like a Led Zeppelin I might be more chuffed but I can’t wait for you all to hear it.

There’s been loads of things happening behind the scenes in the last few weeks, photoshoots, deals with distributors and retailers and getting the website up to speed to accept CD orders. Big thanks to Steve Mayne from The Mayne Design for the last one. There’s not many people that literally drop everything at a moments notice to fix a technical problem, Steve is one and Rob Aubrey is another..

Exclusive preview alert! Here is a shot of a proof from one of the lyric sheets in the booklet. Graeme Bell has done an amazing job again and is now starting his own full time graphics business.

The bad news is I’ve delayed the release date AGAIN, just slightly to the 5/02/2013. The CDs should be arriving w/c 28/1 so it gives us a bit of breathing room but if they do arrive early we’ll get the pre orders shipped in advance of the official release date!

Good news is Pre order should be live by tomorrow! Wednesday 16th.

I received my pre-order CD this morning, I’d just like to say that I think it is really excellent, certainly worth the wait. It’s getting better with each listen too, thanks very much, I hope it is very successful for you.
